Soudah Peaks is a luxury mountain destination located on Saudi Arabia's highest peak, in the southwest region of the country, 25km from the city of Abha. Once open, the destination will offer world-class hospitality, wellness, residential, retail, sports and entertainment outdoor attractions, with immersive year-round experiences that celebrate the area’s natural beauty, culture, heritage and biodiversity.

Soudah Peaks is a tourism destination, while Soudah Development is a real estate development company. Soudah Peaks is one of Soudah Development's projects – a company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund.

HRH Crown Prince is the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Soudah Development – the entity leading the development of Soudah Peaks. The project is being developed under the supervision of HRH; and its board members include His Highness Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al Saud; His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal Al Saud; His Excellency Engineer Ibrahim Al-Sultan; His Excellency Professor Fahd Al-Rasheed; and His Excellency Engineer Ayman Al-Mudaifer.

The Soudah Peaks project will create a wide range of promising opportunities for investors as well as the local community. It will create thousands of direct and indirect jobs as well as contribute to the cumulative GDP of the country by more than SAR 29 billion by 2033.

Sustainable and responsible development lies at the heart of the masterplan of Soudah Peaks with 12 principles based on four pillars that guide our work. These are:

    3. Deliver infrastructure networks in synergy with natural and built

  3. Sustainability:
    1. Strengthen local identity through celebration of indigenous practices and traditions
    2. Strive to become water-sufficient, energy positive and zero-waste through advanced technologies
    3. Work with natural environment and utilize climate-responsive design to reduce consumption

    1. Build a global tourism brand through innovative design and activations

Successfully delivering the masterplan will depend on building long-term, mutually beneficial public-private partnerships. Soudah Development has already signed agreements with local partners and aims to collaborate with more to build this unique tourism destination. It is the first developer in the Gulf region to join the United Nation’s Mountain Partnership and remains a committed affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Soudah Development will deliver 2,700 hospitality keys, 1,336 residential units, and 80,000m² of commercial space for Soudah Peaks by 2033. It will be home to six unique districts and each will offer world-class facilities including hotels, luxury mountain resorts, chalets, villas, premium residential units, entertainment and commercial attractions, as well as authentic destinations dedicated to sports, adventure, wellness and culture. The districts are:

Tahlal: A championship golf course, VR experience center, sky bridge, amphitheater, indoor adventure park, outdoor gym, observatory deck, health therapy clinic, as well as culture discovery trails and hiking trails.

Sahab: An outdoor adventure park ridge, outdoor adventure nature park, air zone, sports rehabilitation and performance center, skyline luge, mountain coaster track, bike park, zipline, mountain swing, mountain skate park, sky bridge, skeet shooting range and health therapy clinic as well as hiking trails.

Sabrah: Yoga meditation center, wellness and spa center, sports rehabilitation and performance centre and hiking trails.

Jareen: Cultural discovery trails, organic food farms and culinary experiences for locally-produced coffee, honey and strawberries.

Rijal: A village museum, information and visitor center and central plaza.

Red Rock: An outdoor gym, national park education center and outdoor adventure nature park as well as stables and hiking trails.

Visitors are welcome to visit Soudah any time but the development of Soudah Peaks – the luxury mountain tourism destination – will begin in 2024 with Phase 1 scheduled for completion by 2027. An announcement will be made prior to the official opening so visitors can come and experience the luxury offering above the clouds.
